Invitation
Participants are invited to submit papers via e-mail for presentation during ILDS07 to the Chair of the conference.
Conference papers should reflect the conference theme: Resource sharing for the future, building blocks for success
Topics of interest include:
- Resource sharing
Cooperative support, collaborations in terms of collection sharing or access, interlibrary lending and document delivery are topics that would be covered within resource sharing. - Tools and building block for success
Policies, tools and processes that are used to help libraries share knowledge with each other with regards to resources available, to help libraries effectively communicate about their needs and to help libraries deliver and support each other.
- Rights & Distribution
How issues pertaining to the rights of dissemination, sharing and distribution of contents impact libraries. Changes to the legal landscape and changes that owners of content are implementing and how they impact libraries.
- Future Directions
Sharing of new ideas and service developments that are being explored to improve services to library customers.
Proposals
Proposals for papers to be presented in the conference need to be submitted for approval by the ILDS07 Organising Committee and the Standing Committee of the IFLA Document Delivery and Resource Sharing Section and will also take final decision on the programme.
The proposals should include the following details:
- Author’s name
- Institution (with address, telephone, facsimile and e-mail)
- Biographical sketch
- Title of paper
- Abstract (between 100 – 200 words)
- Technical support required (e.g. computer projection, overhead projection, slide projection)
- Please email all proposals to ILDS_Conference@nlb.gov.sg
- Subject of email should be: “Proposals for paper - <title of paper>”
Paper Submission
- All accepted papers must be presented at the conference in English language by at least one of their authors.
- All papers must be original contributions, i.e., not have been previously published or currently under review for publication elsewhere
- All accepted papers will be peer-reviewed by the program committee and IFLA Section Standing Committee and published both in print and electronically in the conference proceedings.
- Please email all submissions to ILDS_Conference@nlb.gov.sg
- Subject of email should be: “Proposals for paper - <title of paper>”
- The minimum length is 3 pages and the maximum length of papers is 21 pages.
- Papers must be sent full-text in PDF or DOC format, confirming to the style template.
Please note that the expenses of attending the 10th ILDS conference
(including travel, hotel, daily expenses and conference fee) will be the
responsibility of the author(s)/presenter(s) of accepted papers, and at
least one of the presenters/authors must attend the conference to present
the paper.
