About National University of Singapore Library
The NUS Libraries is the largest academic library in Singapore. It comprises seven multi-disciplinary libraries: the C J Koh Law Library at the Bukit Timah Campus and the Central Library, Chinese Library, Hon Sui Sen Memorial Library, Medical Library, Music Library and the Science Library at the Kent Ridge Campus.
As an academic library, it aims to encourage and support teaching, learning
and research activities of the NUS community.
The NUS Libraries has a rich and diverse collection with more than 1 million
print titles, 12 thousand current journals, 60 thousand microforms and multimedia
resources and over 31 thousand electronic resources (e-journals, e-books
and databases). Resources in the Libraries cover a wide range of disciplines
including architecture, building and real estate, humanities and the social
sciences, business, law, music, medicine, dentistry, science, engineering
and technology.

About ISEAS Library
ISEAS Library has been functioning as a unique de facto regional library
and information centre. It houses more than a half a million items of comprehensive
collections of research materials on the applied social sciences dating
mostly from the nineteenth century with emphases on Southeast Asia.
ISEAS Library developed an in-house database, SEALion database,
contains bibliographic records of the ISEAS Library’s collection.

About Republic Polytechnic Library
Republic Polytechnic (RP) is the first educational institution in Singapore
to adopt the Problem-Based Learning approach for all its diploma programmes.
Established in 2003, there are now five schools offering nineteen diploma
courses in Information & Communications Technology, Engineering, Applied
Science,
Technology for the Arts, and Sports, Health & Leisure.
Republic Polytechnic is committed to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurial

About Singapore Management University Library
The Li Ka Shing Library is the centre for the academic and professional
information resources and services that support the research and learning
needs of the SMU community. The entire building is wireless and designed
for your laptop use, but there are also wired ports and a limited number
of dedicated computers.
The library partners with SMU's Office of Communications and IT to facilitate
on-campus and off-campus authenticated access to e-resources anywhere in
the world, with the Centre for Academic Computing to bring together library
databases with financial and statistical research databases and with the
Centre for Teaching and Learning to integrate student course reading materials
into course management software.

About The Library Supply Centre
The Library Supply Centre is a place where acquisition and cataloguing of NLB materials.
Bibliographic Services
The Bibliographic Services supports the Public and National Reference functions of the NLB by providing centralized cataloguing of all materials that are purchased or acquired through Gifts & Exchange and Legal Deposit. It is also responsible for the production of the Singapore National Bibliography (SNB) and Singapore Periodicals Index (SPI). The section also provides cataloguing services for external client projects.
The services include indexing, cataloguing and classification of material in all formats and in the four official languages for the NLB.
Print formats include books and serials, while Non-Print formats include video tapes, cassette tapes, CD-ROMs, CDs, VCDs, DVDs etc. Special Materials include formats such as microfilms, microfiches, music scores, posters, art prints, maps, kits, ephemera and other rare material.
Collection Development
Collection Development is responsible for selecting and acquiring comprehensive and relevant collections in Singapore's four official languages to meet the information, cultural and educational needs of library users.
Selection is the process of sourcing, reviewing and evaluating books, audiovisual materials and serials to determine suitability for NLB's collections.
Selectors work closely with local and overseas vendors to source widely for materials to support the collections and programmes of the various regional, community and rental libraries in Singapore.
About Library Innovation Centre
NLB is widely acknowledged as an innovative organisation. As NLB moves
forward to more innovative products and services in line with L2010 strategies
and outcomes, it would be instrumental to have a Innovation Centre.
The Innovation Centre will showcase, and communicate service concepts around
these forward-looking innovative products to staff, partners and visitors.

About Jurong Regional Library
The library offers an enlarged collection of 507,000 volumes, 2,433 magazine
titles, 12,000 volumes of audio-visual materials, 22,000 reels of microfilm,
64 newspaper titles and 311,000 volumes of lending books. It also has a
range of new services such as the Teens Library Service and the Self-Service
Lobby.
Occupying four storeys and a basement, the library building has a total
floor space of 12,020 square metres, making it the largest public library
in Singapore. The regional library has an extensive collection and targets
those who have more specialized informational needs

About Woodlands Regional Library
Woodlands Regional Library carries the most extensive collection of print and non-print items in the network of public libraries. Its 540,000 books, videos and CD-ROMs include the 72,000 books and annuals to be found in the reference collection.
Occupying four storeys and part of a basement over a floor space of 11,100 square meters in the Woodlands Civic Centre, it is a one-stop information and reference centre for the northern sector of Singapore.

Boutique Libraries
About library@esplanade
The library@esplanade, Singapore’s first performing arts library,
was officially opened on 12 September.
A one-stop resource library for the performing arts, library@esplanade also
offers information and services in the areas of music, dance, theatre and
film. The library’s location on the third level of The Esplanade,
Theatres on the Bay is unique within Singapore, and makes it one of the
few libraries in the world to be co-located within a performing arts complex.
It spans an area of 2,300 square metres.
Dance on Demand database is accessible via the multimedia stations at the
library@esplanade and the library at Goethe-Institut, Singapore.
Dance on Demand is a digital initiative, a first in Singapore, made possible with the collaboration of NLB with the German Dance Film Institute Bremen and Goethe-Institut, Singapore to bring contemporary German dance into Singapore.

The library@orchard was officially on 21 October 1999.
The library@orchard is a major milestone in NLB's history as it is the first
lifestyle library designed especially to appeal to young Singaporeans aged
18 to 35 years. The library's unique location at the heart of Singapore’s
bustling Orchard Road shopping belt is intended to attract the youth segment
of the population. Orchard Road is a place where youths most frequently
meet, and by bringing the library to them, NLB is bringing the pleasure
of reading and learning closer to our young people.
